Title says it all, really. Instead of asking every time, ask the first time and remember the selection. Have a button on the probe page that says “I need to change my BitZero type” for the people that upgrade.

Yes, that would be nice be able to set your default BitZero device. Maybe a drop down menu on the settings page under the BitSetter options. Also, on the Probe menu, the first graphic on the left shows the faces being touched off of are X and Y, no reference to Z. Z is shown on the second graphic. A new user may not realize that Z is also being set while using the first option and may want to set Z a second time using the second option. Just my thoughts…
