I’ve made 6 of these already without a problem. I cut this one and it did this. Any ideas?
If it doesn’t match the .c2d file preview, then something mechanically went wrong:
- tool pulled out from collet,
- bearing in router going bad
- lost steps due to some mechanical or electrical interference
- error when changing tool
- shift of stock due to workholding, or the stock warping due to internal forces
I just re-run the pocket clearing toolpath in such cases.

I vote loose mill. It would seem that we should be able to run piece after piece with no changes or adjustments. Sometimes we can. On any job over 12 x 12 inches, my routine calls for reloading the bit/mill after four or five pieces. It depends on a number of different factors of course. This solved the problem for me. Hope it works for you, too.
