I have a bitzero and bitsetter for my SO5 w/ vfd. Never had this problem before.
when i start the running my file on carbide motion its start well above half the material and runs off on the top area. I set my ZEROs with bitzero. I reset the machine and still same problem.
I then started to run another file to see if it still happen and it didnt.
so i then just re-did my design and when i went to run it, it happen again. this time even worst, it completely started off the workspace.
Can someone tell me whats going on? and why?
my first file: SCARCROW SIGN.3.c2d (1.9 MB)
I looked at your files. Other than a retract height of 1/2" everything looks normal. Usually when you get an air cut it is because in CC you set bottom of material and then set Z zero on top.
As our English cousins say there is a slip between the cup and the lip. The simulation look fine so I would suspect something is going wrong in the zeroing process. There are two options. The first is a machine/controller problem. I discount that because the machine and files work for other projects. The second option is something you are doing. Go back and make sure you are not assuming anything and do a step by step and make your procedures are good. Dont take anything for granted and check everything you are doing. Before running the problem files go into jog and in Rapid positins see where the X and Y are and a Z+6mm to make sure the origin is set where you want it.
