All decimal commas are exchanged by a “.” and if I try to save the tool I get an error because the “.” is not valid for “mm”.
Update: still in 467, same for older versions and current stable version.
By the way:
I think I understand why you change the way how you handle metric and imperial but the big disadvantage of doing it in this way is: You can not easy check if there is a similar tool in your library without taking a pocket calculator …
It would be great to switch between both by a common switch for all tools.
I am afraid that our software isn’t properly internationalized and that in order to use it you will need to change the decimal separator in your OS settings to a period. Once you make that change the values should register as expected.
Some folks make a separate user account just for CNC to have this setting only there.
I think (because I had the same issue three years ago when starting to use CC) that ALL versions have this problem. Also, don’t hold your breath, I’m pretty sure there are more urgent matters in the CC development roadmap than proper internalization. My fix was to change my decimal separator at OS level from “,” to “.” (i.e. give in to the dark side). Unless you do tons of Excel stuff and your brain is hardwired to use “,” for decimal numbers, it’s a minor inconvenience. As Will said, you could still create a dedicated user profile that has “.” as the decimal separator, and keep “,” for your main profile. I did not bother, it’s too much hassle to logout/login just to switch from CC to something else.
