I think I’ve found an issue in CC where arc’ed text will lose the arc settings, when you copy-paste between files if tool paths exist in the source file.
The copied element does not need to include the arc’ed text; can be any element in the design.
I was able to reproduce the issue with the following steps (I’m not certain which steps may not be relevant to this issue - this is what I did when I was able to reproduce the issue):
- Added text to a blank new file, “Test Text” and put it on an arc
- Created a circle around the outside of the text, then an offset within that to make a donut shape with the text within the ring.
- Created a pocket tool path within the donut, so the text was in relief.
- Saved the file.
- Created a duplicate file with Save-as.
- From the Design tab, copied the center circle
- From the File menu, selected Open Recent - the original file
- Prompted to save changes - Saved.
- Original file opened, pasted middle circle in random location and copied it.
- Opened the Copy file (saving the original on exit as prompted)
- In the copied file, the “Text Text” was no longer on an arc.
- Returned to the original file and the “Text Text” had also lost the arc settings.
