CC8 Tool Database change numbers

Hi group,

CC8 over here. I am copying the #121 ball mill 1/32 from the Carbide 3D Shapeoko Hardwood database to my personnal database since we can not edit value in the Carbide 3D.

When I go in “EDIT” mode in my database, here is what showup.

I change nothing, I just click the “OK” button. It is changing 2 value and then I get this error message.

So I put “1” in Plungerate and re-save. New error message

Then whatever i do, it always change my value by number that are not acceptable.

HELP!!!

In the current version of Carbide Create it is necessary to ensure that the measurement units defined in Job Setup match those used when creating the tool.

You are running into this problem:

Since you are adding an ‘inch’ tool, change the units of the project to inches while you add the tool. Once the tool is saved you can safely change the project units back to mm.
