When CM is started, is there anyone one on the planet who uses the default jog speed?
I can-not think of even a single time where I did NOT set the speed to ‘Fast’ after starting CM.
My guess is it is set to default for one of two reasons.
- The safety of the least movement because of the unknown position of the X Y and Z Axis.
- The programmer left that setting when compiling the application.
I would agree that a slightly faster speed should be default but maybe not “Fast”

I’ve got in the habit of using the keyboard shortcuts to make the jogging more usable.
Left hand on 1, 2, 3, 4 to select jog speed and right hand on arrow keys, <, >
That lets me move around at rapids and do edge finding etc. without having to mouse.
