Is it possible to change the home set point to the forward part of the shapeoko vs the back side? On top of the bit aet would be ideal
Not really.
It would require relocating the homing switches and changing the direction for homing in Grbl, and probably using a different communication/control program.
In current versions, after homing the machine will move forward to the tool change position — is that not sufficient?
