Clandestine corruption with microsoft win 11 update

Not sure this us common, i use vectric desktop, and noticed some difficulty in designing a square and circle to valudate accurate carving dimensions
Got to a point that choosing a circle made a square. Would disregard my desired. Been noticing some odd stuff happing with other programs. I may have some effect from microsoft forcing win 11 to be installed . I have attempted to block . Reboot helped, but it returns others have these situations

I reinstalled vectric and it seems to work without wonky affects and much faster
Im not a tech head, but if looks like duck and quacks like a duck, might be one :duck:

If you have a separate GPU you might want to check the Windows Graphics settings.
This where you tell Windows to use a specific GPU.

I have had to remove and reselect an application to get things working. Just changing the preference doesn’t seem the work all the time.

My simulation has been super slow lately when on battery. I checked to make sure I had high performance for battery and messed around with the simulation settings as well as GPU selected. I will try the delete and add as you suggest.

You should see the GPU show up in the Task manager on the line that the application is on.
I have a std Intel GPU and a nVidia one. The nVidia cards shows as GPU 1

If you are on battery and the graphics slowed down, the setting is probably “let windows decide”.
If you set it to a specific GPU, you will probably eat the battery pretty quick.
I leave my Laptops plugged in for that reason.
