I woke up this morning and checked a very long running finish cut to see if it finished.
This ran around 36 hrs. Not my smartest move, but what the h.ll
I saw this when I got into the garage. The spindle was running.
I looked at CM running on the PC and found this.
The gcode had 10.5 million lines and stopped at 9,999,999 .
Whoops !
Now I should have done a few things to avoid this.
Recorded the original origin. I had cut off my reference, so I could not reset with confidence.
Split the cut by height. I was so excited to do this, I spaced it out.
Todays’ lesson. CM will not run ( it will parse ) a file with more than 9,999,999 lines.
No, I will not rerun. I will leave the warts there for a reminder.
