I just installed Carbide Motion 613 on a new MacBook Air, M1 chip, Ventura 3.x.
After “setting up the machine” (Nomad Pro) I was able to connect with the machine and initialize it. This was all done in the Setup… dialog, it wasn’t connectable in the opening screen (home?). After the initialization the underlying home screen turned into what I expected. But as soon as I hit the Finalize button in the set-up dialog, the Set-up screen disappeared and the opening screen (home, I guess) reverted back to the inoperable state in which the program woke. At this instant a click from the Nomad implied the connection was indeed broken. I tried this again several times to be sure I wasn’t missing any instructions or options, all with the same result.
i doubt this is salient but just in case. To run my previous laptop I found I needed to run the data through a hub. I tried going no-hub with the new laptop but it also faied to connect. Using the hub again allowed the connection just as with the old laptop.
Thanks! The only possibility is see for “changing something… and hitting save” is where I can change to MM and “save changes”. This does not work for me. (I work in MM so had already tried this.) I gather this is an issue for others as well.
However the build to which you linked, v5, seems to work fine. But will this version also function with the latest build of CC?
