CM disconnecting during operation

I have the xxxl pro and just added the VFD as well as updated latest version carbide motion last weekend Everything seemed to work great until CM stopped/disconnetct about 1.5 hrs into a projected 2hr carve. All connections are solid. This happened twice now.

Anyone else having random disconnects. With the new cm update?

Prior to upgrading, I never had a disconnect in past two years of running the cnc.

Probably static. Have you grounded your machine? Search “Static” in the search box marked with a magnifying glass at the top of the forum. You will find lots of questions and several workable fixes.

Usually if this problem arises after a period of successful operation it is:

  • carbon brushes in trim router wearing down
  • a heavy load being introduced on the same circuit
  • lower humidity due to a change in seasons
