If I press the Stop Button is it suppose to always send back to initialization? Is there not a means to Stop a project because may you realize you entered the wrong retract height? go back to CC, fix retract height, save, run the new saved file in CM and NOT have to reinitialize and re zero?
You can hit Pause, and then the Stop button that appears. The big red stop button serves more as a software-controlled E-Stop, intended to stop all motion ASAP.

yea, that’s “exactly” what I did and then it went all the way back to initialize

That’s what it’s meant to do. If you make it stop immediately, all positions are lost, so you need to reinitialize.
