Color version of Rub n Buff - non metallic

What do you use for non metallic colors for etchings ?
My wanderings landed in the pottery world.

Suggestions ?

I did a quick search of Rub and Buff colors and the only color other than metallic is black.

Here is a sample of all the Rub and Buff colors.

The Rub and Buff is oil based and mineral spirits removed it while still wet. Not sure about removal after it dries.

I use acrylic paint in a tube I get at Walmart for a lot of vcarve projects. However the overfill is sanded off. Not sure if you can sand pottery with success.

On some projects that I cut on the CNC I use oramask or Easy Liner Adhesive Shelf paper and that provides good protection for the surrounding area when painting.

Specifically, what are you referring to? Wood? Metal? Using router bits? Etching tool like McEtcher?

I was referring to etching in acrylic. Sorry for the lack of info.
The pottery reference was the vendors in my area that carried the Rub n Buff.

On rubber, you can refloat Rub n Buff with mineral oil after it dries. I assume on acrylic it will be the same. Acrylic paint, that would be too easy an answer for me to come up with.

I shouldn’t ask questions after 8 pm. I know not to start a project or cut anything.

Here is black acrylic paint on the etching. I found it worked to use as a paste, directly apply to grooves.
Wipe with dry paper towel, then damp. Hold to the light to find the smears and damp hard wipe it clean.
I used a lot of 1/2 sheets split in half.

If I had a sense of color I could have replicated the original photo colors to some degree.
Great lesson.

Thanks for the help !
