OK so this may be a little far fetched. Maybe is been asked before but I couldn’t find it. When designing signs in CC it would be great to see a preview of the colors I will be using once the CNC works is done. Does this make sense? Has this been asked? Is it possible? Is it a ridiculous question?
Moved this to the Feature Request area.
It’s not something which Carbide Create does now — the only support is for layers — no idea on if it’s a potential future feature or no.
A potential way to do this now would be to use a screen grab to get a pixel image of the 3D preview, then apply a coloured vector to it as a transparent (or solid?) overlay — the geometry for the colours would need to be warped to match the rotation.
Thanks as always Will.
Or perhaps do a screen capture & ask an AI to re-colour it for you?
Vectric does this but honestly it’s so much easier (and more accurate) to color it in something like Affinity or Adobe. I usually use Clip Studio. Ai works but it’s hard to precisely keep colors accurate… Doesn’t seem to understand color code.
I use Inkscape. You can set the line weights on vectors and fill as needed.
SVG export to CC.
