The big difference between these twain is that Advanced cuts along the perimeter, while normal cuts along the center.
The twain can be profitably combined:
is attractive enough, but doesn’t really live up to the moniker.
Adding a normal V carving to the same depth:
adds an interesting decorative touch.

Have you actually carved something like this yet? I’m curious to see how it looks actually done. On screen it looks pretty good.
