Compression bit

I have a 3d model that is 6 operations, all using a .25 end mill.
to avoid tool changes i run a 3 flute for adaptive, pockets and final contours.

Could i use a compression bit for all these operations?

Im mostly concerned about the adaptive operation which runs at 120ipm with a doc of .39

That is too technical of a question for me, but the experts will need to know what material you are cutting before they answer. Would also be helpful if you include machine.

A picture of the model would be great as well. If I had to guess I would say you probably could but it depends on the material, the specific compression tool, part geometry, etc. There are a lot of variables to this question.

I’d assume wood (probably ply) if he’s using a compression bit. I think it’d be fine. The adaptive will help chips clear.
Why the aversion to tool changing?

shapeoko standard makita router
Cherry wood
2 sided maching
im making a lot of these so i want to minimize time by not doing a tool change

Why do you want to use a compression bit? Doesn’t the cherry machine well with an upcut?

i get fuzzy edges on the pockets and on the final contour cut
i could use a downcut for all of the operations but that is not good for the adaptive roughing operation
