Corel Programs for CAD and 2.5 (3D)

I have been using CorelDRAW since the early 90’s, and I just realized that I can do most of my designing in IT, and then export into Carbide Create to assign toolpaths. There is a plugin called CamDRAW that is a plugin for Corel that I am considering too, where I can do that all within CorelDRAW. I was considering using the free version of Fusion 360, but I realized that CorelDRAW would do most of what that does, with the exception of the 2.5 stuff.

I DID just get CorelCAD however, because I am going to be designing guitar necks, and need to have a bit of 3D capability for the radius and neck profiling.

For now, I may just do fret slots and inlay and then radius the neck and profile the neck as I usually do, until I feel comfortable with the 3D CAD software component.

Anybody have any experience with any of these? Any suggestions? I realize that Corel isn’t hugely popular, but again, I’ve been using it for over 30 years and it seems like I should just stick with what I know, especially since there’s still support for it!

If you going to be doing mechanical pieces, I would use a real CAD system.
Applications the were born in the print or screen markets almost work most of the time.

If CorelCAD will allow you to model in 3D and export as an STL, then you should be able to import that 3D model into your choice of 3D CAM tool such as Carbide Create Pro or MeshCAM.

Corel Technical Suite will allow 3D and then I can import into Carbide Create.
