Ran across this on youtube and thought it might be of some use to those who make cribbage boards. I have not used the bit but I know a lot of cribbage boards are made on the forum. This youtube video is selling the bits so take everything with a grain of salt. The demo video is interesting if you drill 1/8 inch holes.
Huh, that seems pretty good, although $24.50 seems pricey for a 1/8" tool. Per cribbage board, it’s not much so it’s probably great for people who make a lot of these.
I wonder how it compares to drill mills. I can get a 1/8" 90 degree one from Kodiak Cutting Tools for $12.53.

I dont make cribbage boards but a lot of people do. I agree it might be more than a drill mill but the speed and clean holes might be worth it if you make a lot of cribbage boards. FYI
The guy that made the video has some interesting videos. The maker has made a business out of his videos.
A solid carbide drill is nice, but unless you’re going to be making dozens of cribbage boards all day long I think it’s overrated. You can get half a dozen TiN coated HSS jobber drills from McMaster for $17 and shipping, and I’d just toss them after a couple hours of use apiece. Even if carbide stays sharp longer, you’re still going to get residue and other organic contaminants gunking up the bit over time requiring periodic cleaning.
