Cut starts OK but crashes

I am just doing my first cuts on my new maching cutting a Guitar Template. 9.5mm MDF.

The cut starts OK but about half way through the machine judders briefly then the cut shoots off to the left. It has happened twice. I cannot video it as I need to switch off quickly.

It might be me but I think the machine catches or strains a bit when it moves to a certain part i.e. gantry goes top left.

Sorry if this does not make sense but very hard to explain.

Any suggestions?

Are you cutting slots just as narrow as the endmill?

Is the machine trying to lift before this happens?
