As a user new to the cutout toolpath, I must begin by saying this was a nice addition. However, one thing that I saw mentioned in an earlier thread is still somewhat confusing. Namely, the Flip Inside/Outside check box. If I understand this correctly, when unchecked the toolpath results in a surround perimeter, and an interior “hole” is the intention when checked. At least this would provide the two alternatives I would want. Could someone please confirm that my interpretation is correct?
If I have this right, I’d like to make a minor change to the user interface. The check box, and especially its name seems potentially confusing. Why not use a pulldown menu consistent with the Offset Direction menu in the contour toolpath pane? (Obviously, the No Offset option wouldn’t apply, and I haven’t tested whether or not the direction of cut changes, but at least selecting Inside or Outside seems clear and consistent.)
