This community has been amazing and helping me learn so much. Before I spend too much time cutting out different shapes (florals, etc.) for the door signs and name signs and such, I would love your advice on how to make come out the most effective and neat. This first sign is for a lemon name board for a teacher’s door. I have to go get the material to cut the items out of and would love to hear your recommendations on what you would suggest. The items will be painted and put on a circular board to hang on her door. The circle base is included in this file but I may use a nicer piece of wood for that. Someone recommended 3/4" MDF. Going to buy some materials today and would love your thoughts on this.
Advanced V carving (if you have a BitSetter) will most easily yield the best detail and more durable signage.
There are glued together rounds intended for seat tops and so forth at the big box stores:

which for large bold designs can work well (pine isn’t that great at holding router-cut fine details)
