hey guys I’m having trouble figuring out how to break up my project into to parts for cutout. I am using carbide create to do everything the piece is 36" tall but when it comes to toolpaths and saving gcode i am not sure how i can break it into two stages i did a practice piece with the bottom of the piece lower then my bottom of machine thinking it wouldn’t go down past but it gared the machine and did not work for me. not sure if i will have to get different programming for this or not any help would be greatly appreciated!

For carving parts larger than the machine’s work area, the magic keyword (for e.g. forum searches) is “tiling”.
