Ran across the following issue:
Have this diagram:
I go to EDIT Nodes and attempt to remove the circled node:
RESULTING IN:
Note the curve at the top of the object - it changes on both sides…WHY? How are those curves linked to the node below?

Upload the file with this problem. A Picture of the problem isn’t any use for testing.
I’ve seen the same. Editing one node effects the others.
Although I see no reason to remove the node you point out, there is an odd condition on some of the nodes when you start editing. Nodes that have square icons seem to be “smooth” nodes but have no tangent vectors. If you cycle them (S) they switch to sharp, then back to smooth but recalculate. And the calculation is a bit less than what it should be.
Do the same with a circle. Select all 4 nodes & toggle to non-smooth. It becomes a diamond, or a rotated square. Now back to smooth & it’s not a circle, it’s an oblong square-oid shape. ???
Sometimes, if you export the geometry to an SVG, then reimport it, it will allow the deletion — if not, export, fix in a 3rd party program, then reimport as a work-around.
OK…I’ve logged the defect…Hopefully, while the code is open for the new features, the bugs can be fixed as well!
Can you post the file?
I modified it and did what I had to do without deleting the nodes…I will recreate it.
