I ran my first project with the Pro this afternoon and encountered one glitch. When I press start the program asks for the tool and then resumes bit setter is disabled. The router and dust collection turns on at this point it moves and lowers to the material start point. It then stays stationery for 54 seconds. This has happened 3 times on this project and once when I set up the Pro. There were 3 disconnects while running this project. I have resolved the issue creating the disconnects. I have the bit runner which is connected to the router and dust collection.
The only thing different now is the Pro and running from a Dell E6430 laptop not the same power as my main computer. Also downloaded and using the latest version of Carbide Motion 566.
I am running v7cc and the 566 cm. I have noticed on my Shapeoko 3 that everything takes longer after hitting “Start” until the cutting actually starts.
In v7 they implemented encryption and compress in the c2d file. So maybe the encryption and compression is what is slowing down CM but it is noticeably longer to start a job with CM 566 and v7 CC. Since I dont use 3rd party applications I cannot say what they might do to speed up or slow down the start process.
