Made my first simple design in CC. It had a tool change mid way. I ran the first tool, then at the prompt to change tools, it just disappeared. I was a little confused at first, thinking it should allow me to continue. But the design was gone and machine was waiting on a program. I opened the design file and the design and tool paths are gone, blank, like ready for me to design something in there. Admittedly i am a complete computer novice. I just paid a guy $100 for an hour of tutoring to show me how to save files.
Which version of Carbide Create did you have this difficulty w/?
Note that the new v7 stores toolpaths in the .c2d file itself as noted at:
so that this sort of thing won’t be an issue if you are able to use v7 (requires a Carbide 3D machine or a Pro license).
Do a search on your computer for the name of the file. It is possible it got saved to a different location on your computer.
