DeWalt 611 Router Problem

Last week I had a problem with my Dewalt 611 router. I had homed the system but when I hit JOG the router really did an unexpected violent jogging! There is a metal ring on the end of the router that seemingly holds all of the guts in and that came off. Shut down was immediate with no damage other than some loose hardware from the shaking which has been corrected.

This is just a warning to DeWalt 611 owners to double check that same ring on their routers to make sure it is fully screwed in and stable. Maybe even put a little non-permanent Loctite on it to assure it is held in place?
