For all new users trying to initialize machine and run, Disable bitsetter. v4 >vfd spindle >5 pro . BITSETTER OFF. RUNS GREAT .
For SO3/4 users if you disable the BitSetter power cycle, connect and initialize. Turning off the BitSetter does something to the internal coordinates and will likely result in an air job after disabling the BitSetter. Others here on the forum say the SO5 does not need the power cycle. I dont have an SO5 but just beware if you have the earlier models to follow my advise.

5 pro , it has option to enable or disable.
So do the other versions. @gdon_2003 is making the point that if you enable/disable on those machines you should also power cycle and then initialize. I concur with that assessment as I have had the machine trying to cut an inch or so above my workpiece if so don’t powercycle after re-enabling the Bitsetter in CM.
That is not related to the issue you are describing though.

Got home today , fired it up with bitsetter enabled, worked perfectly fine, I ran it alot Sunday without bitsetter. Maybe it just needed the cobb webs blown out like a new Corvette, bahahha
