Display run time at end of job

Can we get the option to display total run time to complete the job and the end of cycle?

It’s rare for me to do any custom work.

I’ve got a product line of 300 at the moment between lasers and routers. Would be very nice to get the time it took to complete a job when it’s finished

I could do it with a camera I guess but , what I assume is a simple macro to start a timer at spindle start prompt and stop it when it calls for spindle stop.

I could care less about anyone’s opinions on safety. But I’ve got two routers running in one building and 2 lasers running in another building that I also do all our shipping out of. It’s nice for me to set timers to go change the routers when I’m working. That and for more accurate machining times for pricing.

Does CM write a log file ? I have not looked for one.
If there is, hopefully a timestamp is written in a record.

I just checked CM log and found only real time data.

So I would request a change to create an optional simple log file that reported basic machine and operation information .Something the can be easily parsed. The opt in and review could be accessed via the Settings menu.

Runtime.log (?)

All records to have a time stamp

Start record per nc file
A record per “operation” in CC and gcode terms, include some tool information as well.
Stop record per nc file

Just set up a timelapse camera for the times you’re looking for, it would also catch any potential safety issue you could have and allow you to place mitigating steps in place to prevent reoccurrence.

It’s a win-win for you.

A lot more work and I don’t have concerned with safety issues as stated.

Would just be nice to give the time used because the estimates are completely useless.
