Does everyone's carbide compact router do this?

There is vertical travel in the Shaft/Collet when applying +Z pressure upwards while holding the collet nut.

If I had to guess I’d say your bearings/router is toast.

I have a DeWalt 611 on my XXL. Absolutely does not do this.

The router has less than 10hours of run time on it. And it doesn’t effect cuts as it takes a decent amount of pressure to cause the upward movement…

Please contact us about this at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll investigate this with you.

My suspicion is the bearings aren’t fully in place, but that’s just a guess.

As a follow-up this wasn’t normal and Carbide support sent over a new CCR while I was on vacation that does not travel +Z when messing with the collet nut…
