Does it matter which machine I select in Setup if I'm going to use Gsender

I have a Genmitsu 4040 I have been using with Easel and its CAM feature. I just bought Carbide 3d PRO and will use Gsender . Does it matter which machine I setup in Carbide’s setup?

The machine selection in Carbide Create | Job Setup is leftover from a time when Carbide Create calculated feeds and speeds and limited working area based on machine size. It doesn’t do anything other than serve as a reminder of what type of machine a job was set up for, or as advertising for Carbide 3D.
