Doing some trays and using a bowl/tray bit to hog out the middle. There is a noticeable “dome” in the middle of the tray. The middle part is higher and it slopes downward toward the walls of the tray. Had it before and just reran the toolpath and it cleaned it up but not this time. You can see and feel the hump in the middle. Had a carve at the bottom of the tray and let it run to see what would happen and sure enough the carving toward the walls didn’t show because the bit wasn’t touching the material. The middle did fine…any idea what could be causing this to happen?
My guess would be warping as the stress is removed with the material.
Does the back side look warped? Cupped in?

No cupping on the underside at all. Secured down with painters tape and CA glue…
Upload photos showing how the cut turned out?
The matching .c2d file?
Could the bit be slipping? Pockets cut from inside out, so if the bit was moving, things would get deeper towards the outside.
Maybe use a marker, and mark how far the bit is in the collet.
