Dots instead of circles

I want to engrave 4 circles but when I create my toolpads I only get dots and no circles. What am I doing wrong here?

V carving only cuts at the center of the geometry, and can only cut as wide as the endmill geometry will allow.

I believe you’ll get the result you want with an Advanced V carving toolpath which cuts around the perimeter:

You can just do a ‘Contour’ cut, with no offset.

Doing an ‘Advanced Vcarve’ with no clearing bit seems equivalent to a ‘Contour’ cut with ‘Inside’ offset.

Two same size circles, top is Advanced VCarve, bottom is Contour no offset.
