Does anyone know if the standard drag chains on the Pro (not 5 Pro) have capacity to hold 10mm OD tubing for a water cooled spindle?
If not what’s a good source for larger drag chains?

Maybe just zip tie the cooler line alongside the drag chain?
Or swap some of the wiring harness out of the drag chain & zip tie alongside to make room inside for the cooler line?
Interesting thought. I don’t know for sure whether it would fit or not. I guess I can buy a sample of cheap tubing to try the fit.
The clearance between the chain and the the Z motor won’t allow much between.
Wider chains would require a new support piece as the current ones consume the full width.
Couldn’t you drop it from above like your dust collector? Just a thought…
I guess that could work, I figured the collective here would have some experience with this already unless everyone using the 65mm spindle has chosen air cooled.
some years ago I had a water cooled server at 1f above the ground, and the radiator / pump under the ceiling. Leaked because of the static pressure of some feet of water column. So having the pipes running under the ceiling and a possible radiator on the floor might cause same issues. Possibly like in my case needed stronger connectors.
I have a SO4 XL, and a Jtech 24 W Laser, and I was able to run an additional power cable, AND an airline through the drag chain with no problem. Just leave the ends coiled up behind the spindle when I am using the CNC. Works fine. Should be plenty of room for your 10mm tube.
Thanks. It’s actually 10mm times 2, but I will give it a try and decide if I need more room once the tubing is here.
