I’m looking to upgrade the drag chain for the shapeoko 3xxl. What length is the stock drag chain?
the size options i have on the one I want is:
15x20mm
15x30mm
15x30mm
18x25mm
18x50mm
i want to have a sufficient amount of room within the drag chain being that it’s a tight fit on the stock chain with the wires currently.
My SO3 XL drag chain measures 30mm wide and 20mm tall.

My experience with drag chains is this
Most drag chains are sized to fit what is carried and to protect the items carried from wear and unwanted movement. If you do increase the size of the drag chain you also increase the area of movement of the items inside the chain in this case small wires and connectors. Both of theses will be moving around more and increase the chance of a potential failure most likely at a connector.
Just a thought if it is not a problem now I would leave it alone.
