This isnt directly related to CNC machines but if anyone has a Dewalt DWS 780 sliding miter saw you know that the dust collection on this machine is terrible (As are most miter saws). You can buy a replacement dust collection kit on line but i found it limits the movement of the blade when doing angle cuts so i decided to come up with a fix myself. Here is what i came up with that will improve the dust collection by 90%. I included the instructions and also the svg file to cut the parts need to make this change
I’ll definitely try this as I get more settled in my shop. It’s a great saw but this is one think that kinda seems like a flaw. I’ve just taped the flaps back so the vacuum didn’t collapse them.
