So I keep getting empty toolpaths. See my crappy video here.
I highlight text, open toolpath, select selection, have my bit, have my max depth, have my offset, and empty toolpath. ?

If you wish to use a Pocket or Inside Contour for a design the tool must fit inside it.
So for example if one wishes to cut text in a small font w/ a 1/32" tool:
you need to use a font which is at least 10% narrower than the text at its narrowest point, so instead:
If you’ll upload your file we can look into this in more detail with you.
Completely different file this is a .750 big letter. see file. Im trying to select each type offset and contour vcarve etc and put it on a board for reference.
First print was fine, second says empty toolpath.

because the tool knows it is larger than the path you wish for it to cut (figuratively speaking) so when it is an inside geometry and the inside of that geometry is smaller than the Dia of the endmill it doesn’t generate anything because there is nothing to cut.
You are trying to fit a 1/8" DEFAULT tool:
into text which has strokes which are much narrower than 1/8":
You will need to use a tool which is ~10 percent smaller than 0.056"
Que the 1mm endmill which is excited to have its first use in north America in some weeks.
Ok, that makes sense. I didn’t realize the inside left would make that difference with a 3/4 inch high letter. But at least this makes sense. If i’m a programmer, I probably make a fault that says check settings, instead of a generic refusal to save the file. But thank you very much.
