Engraving a picture in granite?

Here was my first go at diamond drag engraving.

First time with diamond drag bit

I have had DDE bits for over a year now, but finally got around to using them. [20180120_100844][20180120_125339][20180124_182752][20180124_202450] And on that note, I just finished cutting a test piece to find out what settings are needed to get 3-4 different levels of shading like a “grayscale” image instead of having to engrave just “Black and White” images. I created separate bits with different widths in V-Carve so I only had to select the bit that corresponded to the line spacing I wanted instead of having to manipulate the image too much. Then just determine what angle I want the lines and whether I want hatching or cross hatching and let it go.
