Engraving metals

Would my shapeoko pro with mikita router be able to engrave metals? What bits work best and settings?

First one is 304 stainless:

Then what claims to be brass:

And what I believe in powder coated aluminum:

Lastly 304 18/8 stainless steel:

I probably have to put my text vertically on the hand warmer and flask since there’s no flat surface like the other two items… right?

For the stainless a spring loaded etcher like the McEtcher
For the brass an engraver tool.

I’ve etched curved surfaces, but I had to use a different CAD/CAM software that would project a path onto a curved surface.

As @Tod1d mentioned the McEtcher is good in stainless.
For powder coated aluminum like gun parts, I use a very small tapered ball nose bit with a radius of .25mm. This is a pretty fragile bit so I sweep my project in X and Y direction with a dial indicator and adjust as needed prior to cutting.

When you say engraving tool does that mean an engraving bit like Amana Tool 45771-K?

The Amana 45771 is a tool intended for woodworking, it is not for engraving metals:
