Hi folks, since I have renewed my sub to CC pro, I am getting this error. CC won’t open, just crashes. 8.13 and 8.15 both have this issue. I was using 8.13 no issue before having to renew my sub.
Please try the standard computer troubleshooting things:
- reboot
- check for updates
- shut down
- restart — verify no more updates to install
- reinstall
If that doesn’t work, try making a new user account and installing in that — if things still don’t work, go to Start and type “sysinfo”, run the System Information tool, save the output from that as a text file using your last and first name and send it in to support@carbide3d.com
Also, I’m going to edit your User Profile to not show your e-mail.

I’m on a Mac, so the sysinfo stuff won’t work. I did try a clean install, that didn’t work. The restart and all that didn’t work. I can try a new user…but, been down that road before. Is this just an experiment? I won’t be able to run off a new user.
Check in w/ the folks at support.
One thing to try would be to install in a new user, then open the .app bundle and search it for the filename which when missing causes the error?

So, I found an answer that works! (back up your tools and other custom things…if any!) Delete the app, and the preferences folder under “Library” and then reinstall the app, reload your tools…got the missing file on the first launch, but the app actually launched, no crash. The second launch, no pop up for the missing file.
