Euchre Trump Suit Cube - Travel Size

Back in 2024 I made some 1.5" Euchre Cubes. Today I finished a batch of “travel size” cubes for friends and family. Euchre is a fast-paced 4-person card game where the trump suit varies with each hand, so it’s sometimes hard to keep track. During a hand, somebody ( my wife ) will frequently ask, “Wait…what’s trump”? This cube lets you mark the current trump suit by putting it on top.

They are made from .9" cubes of hard maple. I masked with Duck brand shelf liner, cut .03" deep pockets with a 1/32" endmill and painted with rattle-can spray paint. “Euchre” and “What’s Trump?” were burned with a JTech laser. Finished with a few coats of Poly spray.

I play a lot of euchre and these are are great if you remember to use them.
And pass them to the next dealer. That is the hard part.
If you remember to do that, you would think that one would remember what trump is and it is funny how hard that is at times. Especially the next dealer.
