My latest attempt at CNC work. still fairly new at this.
Cut letters and matching pinned with 1/8" dowels for alignment purposes in both the letters and the walnut plywood. Letters and frame are #1 pine, The small square is text with anniversary and children birth dates.

Q: is there walnut plywood with walnut all over all layers, or is it plywood with surface veneer layers?
Looks good.
Instead of pins for alignment you can cut shallow pockets in the backer slightly oversized and then glue the letters into them.
For the stuff I have done recently I make the pocket .02” oversized. It looks really good and is easy to align but you need to make sure the letters have the corners rounded since the pockets are an inside cut.
