Just completed my first carve the bottom of letters are not smooth. I circled them on picture. What would cause this, board did not move.
Your errors are consistent indicating to me this is a mechanical problem. Likely you have something holding the gantry like a vacuum hose or perhaps you have the grub screws on one of your stepper motors loose and moving around.
So for an SO4 check that all the stepper motors have one grub screw on a flat spot and put a black magic marker line across the end of the pulley and the stepper motor shaft. Then you can jog back and forth and up and down to see if the line stays aligned. If this is a new machine it could be belt tension but check the stepper motor pulleys first. If this is a ball screw machine check the couplers that attach the motors to the ball screws. The screws (there are 2) need to be tight and not loose.
