My son made a large fish pond and filtering system at his house and wanted some signs like at a museum or aquarium. Everything was cut on SP5. All letters and the pictures were done with epoxy. This was my first foray into epoxy. Quite the rabbit hole but learned a lot and had a good time.

Looks great. I see you’ve had the same problem as me with getting photographs to properly show your work. Some editors (Apple) help way too much! 
The only “trick” that works for me is to put a diffuser between the light and the product to photograph. It is much easier to add brightness to an image than take away those glossy reflections. YMMV.

Thanks @RoughDraft40, I think my biggest takeaways, are 1) [like many things], practice first before committing to the real thing, 2) Use some kind of sealer on the wood after carving and before pouring the epoxy. I ended up using Zinsser Sealcoat, 3) If possible, pour the epoxy in a controlled environment. I live in Vegas and it got to hot in my shop/garage and I had some epoxy set up before I could get it poured. I moved inside to my utility room and everything went smooth after that. 4) And lastly, watch as many ‘how to’ videos as you can. There will be tons of tips and tricks that you can learn from those.

, yes, I was trying to clean up the photos with my phone auto settings to get rid of some of the glare. Did’nt work well in the areas with lettering. I didn’t notice the errors until I had them posted.
