Fly fishing nets

I’m teaching a fly fishing net building class for the Clark County Fly fishing club. The club had a lot of net forms but the handle shapes were in poor condition. I digitized all the handles and CNC’d new handle templates out of baltic birch

plus designed some new net forms and CNC’d those too. I also CNC’s new handles out of walnut and cherry and they worked really well.

Hah! I have a couple wood tennis racquets and they would make a perfectly fine fishing net. Next year for the class that might be an option.
