Font in carbide create is missing

I have downloaded several new fonts to my computer but when I go into carbide create it does not show them. Any idea on why I can’t see them?

There is an upper limit on how many fonts the QT type object will display — it may be you’re up past that.

The QT type object also doesn’t always show fonts in alphabetical order — check the balance of the list (easy way to do that if you have a scroll button on your mouse is to set a Type object, position the cursor over the Font drop-down menu and scroll)

A work-around is to directly install the fonts in Carbide Create — do About | Open Data Directory, then place the fonts in the Carbide Create/Fonts folder, then quit and relaunch Carbide Create.

EDIT: as @gdon_2003 noted, one also has to install for all users

Thanks I’ll give it a try

I have downloaded fonts that are compressed. In Windows file explorer you can see the compressed files that are not yet uncompressed. If you install with out unzipping the font installs for the logged in user only. If you unzip first and right click on font you have the option to install for all users. CC seems to need a font to be installed for all users to work. Even then some fonts never show up in CC. In the c:/Windows /fonts for the fonts are in alphabetical order. In CC they are kinda sorta in some random order. So you have to look through the entire pull down menu in text entry window.

Thanks much. I’ll check into it. I was able to go into carbide create and load directly but I have not tried the other way yet.
