Some fonts with special characters required me to change “ligature” settings in MS word and Inkscape for them to work correctly. For example, this font automatically replaces certain characters like “&,%,-” with flourishes and hearts. I cannot get these fonts to work correctly anywhere that I do not have access to this ligature setting. Would it be possible to get these types of fonts to work in Carbide Create?
I know I can import text as an SVG from Inkscape, but it would be great if I could get to work right in CC.

Carbide Create doesn’t support such typographic features.
You would need to set the type in an application which supports such features and convert the type to paths and then save as or export to an SVG.
