Font vs bit for carving small text

Hello all. I’m really enjoying my Shapeoko along with Carbide Create. Where I struggle is to find the right combination of font and bit for carving small text (¼”) into a wood sign. Does anyone have that all figured out? Thanks!

Is V carving an option?

It will do fine details well, esp. w/ a more acute V endmill:

But a 60 degree such as our #301 works quite well:

I just made a box to hold a pen for a Christmas gift. I used a 20 degree Foos bit from Amazon and the text was Robota (Windows) .4" font. The result came out super. I set the vcarve tool path for “t” which is the full depth of the box and things came out well. If you use the bottom of the project as the max depth you get the vee bit to touch both sides of the font.
