FOR SALE: Shapeoko 5 pro 4x2 w/ 65mm VFD - Location CT -$3,199.99

Hi all
Looking to sell my Shapeoko 5 Pro w/ 65mm vfd. The machine works flawlessly - had some kinks that carbide support helped me through when I first started. It’s lightly used for gifts and such around the holidays.

I linked an Imgur with tons of pics. I can send videos from surfacing it the other day. Shapeoko 5 pro

Is that an older 65 mm spindle with ER11 collet or the newer ER16 spindle ?

Man, I didn’t even know that they came out with a new one. It’s an ER 11.

Do you think I should just part out the machine?

No, I think you should sell as is. Nothing wrong with the ER11 spindle.
I have the same machine with the same spindle. All good.

Ya the machine is great. I tried posting a price check on Facebook.
I couldn’t find anything on eBay (completed listings)
I made the price 3,199.99 so someone might think about it more haha.

I bought a shop Sabre so that’s reason for selling

If you were closer I’d be interested in taking it off your hands. It’s a shame that a majority of the machines I see are east coast based.

Just curious about these machines. What are the advantages of the ShopSabre that you’re gaining over the Shapeoko?

The shop Sabre is a career move investment for me. I’m trying to pivot from job site work into more shop work.
I am fallowing in the foot steps of a mentor of mine and starting to climb into a different field.

I spent the last 3 days rebuilding a copper valley 3 stories up - I can’t wait to put this type of work behind me.

The shop Sabre spindle can use a lot more tooling profiles, 4x8 bed, 600 ipm cutting speed. It’s just the big brother to the shapeoko.

I’m a member of a makerspace that has a ShopBot 4x8. I made a large sign recently and it was interesting (and a little scary at first :-), to send a 1/2" endmill through Walnut at 420 ipm.

I did a tour at my buddies shop, he cut/ pre drilled / shelf pin, dado etc a 30” base cab in 7 minutes. That’s what sold me on it.

Me too! How far out are you?

Oregon, about as far as you can get.
