From old software to V7 HELP Please!

I have had my CNC for over a year the Pro XXL and I downloaded the new v7 create software loaded it right, when I start the project it drives the bit completely into the wood then I have to tern off the machine off. I have been working on this problem for three days and I finally give up and I am now ready to take a hammer to the machine. Can someone tell me what might be the problem?

As far as setting your zeros it is the same in v6 or v7. Post your file. The most likely culprit is where you are setting zero. In v7 just like v6 you have to accurately set your material height and pick top or bottom of material. The operation of the BitSetter and BitZero are identical.

Post your file to get some eyes on it and as Will Adams always says tell us how you are setting your zeros.

One thing that can be helpful is using the Jog Menu and Rapid positions to check your X and Y position and if using the top of material the Z+6MM before you hit the start button. This will tell you if you have set your zeros correctly before starting a cut. If you use bottom of material jog off the material before using the Z+6MM otherwise you will drill into the material. So to be safe if you are using the top of material is to still jog off the material and do the Z+6mm and the bit should be the material thickness plus 6MM. If it looks like you are safe then you can rapid position to the X and Y and recheck the Z+6mm position.

One last thing is if you toggle off the BitSetter you have to power off the Shapeoko and reinitialize. If you go into configuration and just uncheck the BitSetter the internal coordinates are messed up and any previously set Z zero is wrong.

Where is the origin set in your .c2d file?

What is the retract height set to?

Where are you setting zero relative to the stock?

How are you managing tool changes?

Please post your .c2d file, step-by-step notes on how you are securing your stock and setting zero relative to it and managing all tool changes and a photo showing an attempt at cutting still in place on the machine.
